Can’t get ahold of CMR

The month of December is always a difficult time for me. This year particularly so with the Trump impeachment. I watched most of it but can’t convince any of his supporters that he’s done wrong. So I tried to at least do something. I vowed to contact Cathy McMorris Rodgers every day for one month.

I made it 15 days before I gave up. I actually emailed her more than 15 times if you include replies. My emails mostly involved impeachment. We all know her canned response is “nothing there.” I received 6 of those emails.

However, I also emailed her my concerns about the way President Trump treats female federal employees. He’s supposed to be the president of the United States, yet his type of behavior in any other business leader would not be tolerated (i.e., #metoo). I picked the category of minority harassment. I didn’t receive any response.

I made one phone call to the Spokane office. I was upset with President Trump tweeting about a 16-year-old female climate advocate. I asked for CMR to speak out against President Trump’s bullying. She did not.

I sent one email to CMR to ask her about her vote regarding bump stocks and AR-15s as she had voted for keeping them legal. I received no response.

Please, people, stop telling me to contact my representative. It makes no difference. Only the vote might do it. I doubt it. Expect four more years of this division. I say “uncle.”
