Architects West has appointed Steve Roth to its board of directors. He has more than 26 years of experience in architecture, including seven years with Architects West.


DCI Engineers has promoted Josh Comfort to associate in the Spokane office. He is a member of the board of the Structural Engineers Association of Washington Spokane Chapter.


Providence Health Care has hired Carolyn Helfenstein as executive director of strategy and business development. She has more than 20 years of experience in health care and previously worked as a senior director for Vizient/VHA, a national health care performance improvement company.


The Spokane-Coeur d’Alene chapter of Women’s Transportation Seminar International has announced recipients of various honors during its third annual awards gala Jan. 30 for advancing women in the transportation industry. Karie Gullickson of Horrocks Engineers is Member of the Year and Lisa L. Corcoran of Spokane International Airport is Woman of the Year. Spokane Transit Authority is 2019 Employer of the Year and the Rural Resources Community Action Transportation Program, led by project manager Connie Mahugh, is 2019 Project of the Year. The Sharon D. Banks Memorial Scholarship will go to Shawna Conery of the University of Idaho.

The American Institute of Real Estate Professionals has recognized Washington state real estate agent Dave Reynolds owner of Source Real Estate as a 2019 10 Best Real Estate Professionals for Client Satisfaction. The institute publishes an annual list of the top 10 real estate professionals in each state.

The United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship has recognized Eastern Washington University with its 2020 Top Emerging Entrepreneurship Award. To qualify, a program must either be in its first three years of development or have gone through a major revision in that time period. EWU competed in three rounds of evaluation against programs at Wake Forest University, Iona College and Florida Gulf Coast University.
