Northern Quest Resort & Casino announced Friday that it was canceling its popular summer outdoor concert series at its Airway Heights venue as a result of the growing number of COVID-19 cases in Spokane County.
“While we were all hopeful the numbers in Spokane County would be low enough to limit the risk of COVID-19 community spread by now, it just hasn’t been the case,” general manager Nick Pierre said in a news release. “We hate to disappoint everyone who was ready to come out and experience live music once again, but the health and the safety of our guests and team members is our greatest priority.”
This summer’s lineup included Weezer, Dustin Lynch, Rodney Carrington, Brantley Gilbert, Barenaked Ladies and Ice Cube.
The casino, however, succeeded in booking all of the artists next summer, and all purchased tickets will be honored for the new show dates, the news release said.
If the new date no longer works for concertgoers, Northern Quest will refund the tickets through Dec. 31. For questions, email the box office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
