Man injured in shooting in East Central Spokane

The Spokane Police Department responded to a shooting on the 1700 block of East First Avenue around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

One man was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said at the scene.

The Spokane Police Department Major Crimes Unit and Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Forensic Unit are investigating.

Police used a dog in attempt to locate the shooter, but the shooter had not been found as of 5 p.m.
