3 hospitalized after suspected DUI crash in Whitman County

One man was taken via Life Flight to Spokane and two people were hospitalized in Colfax after a single-vehicle accident that occurred at about 12:40 a.m. Saturday in Whitman County.
Washington State Patrol said a 19-year-old man was driving under the influence of an unspecified substance on State Route 271 when he lost control and went into a ditch.
The driver and at least one of his two passengers were not wearing seatbelts when the vehicle crossed the road’s center line 5 miles south of Rosalia , according to a Washington State Patrol report.
The two passengers were taken to Whitman Hospital with broken bones, while the injured driver was flown to Sacred Heart Medical Center, according to the report. The driver’s condition is unknown,
