Auntie’s Mystery-Thriller Book Group goes Zoom
Even in a pandemic, it’s possible to immerse yourself in a group setting. At least virtually.
Book groups at Auntie’s Bookstore , for example, are holding Zoom meetings. The store’s Mystery-Thriller group is set to meet via the streaming service from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday. And those choosing to attend will be offered a choice between two books: Patrick Radden Keefe’s nonfiction “Say Nothing: A True Story of Murder and Memory in Northern Ireland” and Cora Harrison’s novel “A Shameful Murder.”
Here’s the New York Times commenting on Keefe’s book: ” ‘Say Nothing’ is an excellent account of the Troubles; it might also be a warning.” Considering what’s going on right now in America, that’s saying something.
