Phone store employee held at gunpoint during robbery

An employee at a phone store in north Spokane was held at gunpoint during a robbery Thursday morning.

According to a Spokane Police Department news release, two men entered a Metro by T-Mobile phone store in the 5900 block of North Division Street around 11:20 a.m. Thursday.

One of the men was carrying a handgun and held the employee at gunpoint during the robbery, the release said. The suspects stole two phones and fled.

The employee was not injured and immediately called 911 to report the incident, according to the release.

The suspects were both men in their 30s or 40s, the release said.

The suspect carrying a handgun was described as a Black man with a medium build and face and neck tattoos. The other suspect is a short white male with either blond or red hair.

Both were last seen going northbound on Division Street shortly after the robbery.
