Spokane man charged with raping coworker

A cook at a local hotel has been charged with rape after a cocktail waitress at the hotel’s lounge reported the assault.

Cole Patrick Stevens, 26, was charged with second degree rape.

The server finished her shift at about 1 a.m. on March 1 and went to a different lounge to meet up with a group of friends, including Stevens, according to court records.

The group had a few drinks over the course of an hour before going back to the victim’s house in Spokane Valley for more drinks.

The victim eventually fell asleep on the couch next to another woman and the party dispersed, according to court records.

When she woke up, she said Stevens was touching her.

Stevens admitted that he sexually assaulted the victim at the party, describing the assault in detail, according to court records.
