Lilac City Brew Fest cancelled because of COVID-19

Silverscout Presents is canceling the Lilac City Brew Fest because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The event, scheduled May 16, was the first event for Silverscout Presents, an events company founded in February by Matt Gibson and Becca Watters.

Gibson and Watters are the former general manager and assistant general manager, respectively, of the Spokane Arena.

“The safety, health and well-being of guests, volunteers, and participating breweries, cideries, musicians and food trucks is our top priority,” Silverscout Presents wrote in a company release. “Thank you all very much for your support and understanding.”

The event was to feature tastings from more than 20 breweries, live music and food trucks in downtown Spokane.

Ticket purchases will be refunded to customers within 14 business days, the company said.
