Police arrest burglar who stole items from low-income senior housing

Spokane police officers arrested a man for stealing a flat screen TV from a common room in low-income senior housing in downtown.

Early last week, a commercial burglary was reported at a low-income housing complex for seniors. A man stole a 50-inch flatscreen TV that was mounted to the wall in the common room.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the common rooms in the secure facility located on Sprague Avenue were closed.

Police used surveillance video to identify Jeramy E. Johnson, 42, and confirmed last last week that he did not live in the building. Johnson was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree theft.
