Men admit to breaking windows at Deer Park High School, sheriff’s office says
Spokane County sheriff’s deputies arrested two men suspected of breaking numerous windows at Deer Park High School earlier this month.
The men – Brandon T. Decker, 21, and Cortez A. Moore, 18 – admitted to the May 6 vandalism after they were detained, according to a Spokane County Sheriff’s Office statement.
Decker reportedly told deputies he caused the damage because he was very drunk and felt the need to destroy something.
Decker also admitted to throwing bricks from the upper roof of the school on to the lower roof, causing more damage,the sheriff’s office said.
Moore admitted to deputies that he was with Decker and broke one window, but he denied causing further damage.
Decker and Moore were both booked into Spokane County Jail for second degree burglary and first degree malicious mischief.
Deputies are continuing to investigate the incident and said additional charges and arrests are possible.
