The Providence Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Program at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center has been designated as a Blue Distinction Center+ for Knee and Hip Replacement by Premera Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. The national designation recognizes health care providers who deliver quality care, affordable cost, treatment expertise and better patient results.

Spokane Neighborhood Action Partners granted its Partner Appreciation Awards to several community members and local businesses, including Caitlin Back of Umpqua Bank for “mission in action,” community volunteers Cassi Vilwock and Jim Vernon for “hidden heroes,” Spokane Resource Center Staff for “value of community,” Coffman Engineers for “value of respect” and BECU for “value of justice.” The nominees and winners were celebrated via phone calls and Zoom meetings.
