Police look for suspects in Sunday night drive-by shooting

UPDATED: Mon., Nov. 2, 2020

An early morning drive-by shooting Sunday in Spokane’s East Central neighborhood left one injured and police with no suspect.

Just before 5:30 a.m. Spokane police officers responded to the area of 2600 E. Riverside Avenue after reports of multiple gun shots in the area, according to a police statement.

Officers found a gunshot victim and uncooperative witnesses when they arrived on scene, according to the police department. Officers applied a tourniquet to the victim’s upper leg before medics took over treatment. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with a non-life -threatening injury, police said.

Major Crimes detectives responded to the scene to continue the investigation but do not have any suspects as of Monday evening.

Witnesses to the incident, people with information that could assist investigators or those with surveillance video from the area can call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233 with #2020-20191610.
