Live Local Coalition partners recently launched two grants to assist area businesses and nonprofits with economic, marketing and social needs during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Live Local Action Grant is intended to meet economic or social needs of businesses caused by COVID-19, while the Live Local Marketing Grant is to provide funding for business advertising and participation in the Live Local INW directory and marketplace, according to a news release. 

Live Local Coalition partners will distribute funding to businesses based on need, projected impact of the proposal and timeline of implementation.

Live Local Coalition partners will consider all types and sizes of businesses, but preference will be given to small businesses with fewer than 50 employees.

Applicants are required to have been in operation since June 1, conduct business primarily in the city of Spokane and have an active business license.

Proposed budgets must not exceed $20,000 for the Action Grant and $3,000 for the Marketing Grant.
