Let’s move forward

“Get past our divisions,” was the title of a letter to the editor in the Sunday paper (George Chritchlow, Nov. 6).

How ironic when all the writer does is to be condescending and mean-spirited in his contempt for “a blanket moral condemnation of the half of American society …,” that voted for President Trump. You can be sure that those of us that voted for Trump don’t fully understand why Joe Biden was the choice made for president either.

We cast our votes, we accept the outcome, and we live our lives. We can agree to disagree, but the vitriol and name calling is nothing but divisive. Moving forward, I hope that we can overcome the hate and be civilized in our discourse, even if we don’t agree with it.
