Allegiant Air is launching new nonstop routes from Spokane to Orange County and Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas-based carrier announced Tuesday its adding a direct flight that operates Sundays and Thursdays between Spokane and McCarran International Airport, beginning Feb. 11.

Allegiant will also operate a direct flight on Sundays and Thursdays between Spokane and Orange County, beginning Feb. 18.

Flight times for the two routes vary by day and can be found at allegiantair.com.

Allegiant is offering $49, one-way fares between Spokane and Las Vegas, and $69 one-way fares for travel to and from Orange County, through May 23.

“We are excited to welcome Allegiant back to the Spokane/Coeur d’Alene market with new nonstop service to Orange County/John Wayne Airport and additional nonstop service to Las Vegas/McCarran Airport,” said Ezra Eckhardt, chairman of the Spokane Airport Board in a statement. “Orange County is a very important gateway to the Los Angeles Basin, which remains our region’s largest travel market.”

Spokane International Airport is experiencing a shift to leisure destinations and is also pleased with Allegiant’s service to Las Vegas as it has climbed to the airport’s second-largest market destination, Eckhardt said.

The two routes are part of Allegiant’s nationwide service expansion announced Tuesday that includes 15 new direct flights.
