Vote for Paul Mahre

Vote for Paul Mahre (I) Pend Oreille County (POC) District 3.

After meeting Paul Mahre, candidate for POC Commissioner District 3, at a sign-waving event, I wanted to learn more about him. I admit, I perused the internet to learn about candidates campaigning for public office. There’s a wealth of information (personal/professional), with positive & inspiring news articles & YouTube videos on the Mahre family. I was not disappointed.

Turns out Paul Mahre grew up in White Pass Ski Area (53 miles west of Yakima) with his parents and seven siblings. He competed in World Cup ski racing. Every parent, teacher, coach, student and competitive sports athlete knows what it takes to be a successful athlete; for example, self-discipline, sacrifices (personal/financial), dedication, humility, motivation, civility, training, etc. These are great qualities of a successful county commissioner.

Paul Mahre received his bachelor’s degree from University of Washington. Served as executive director at Pacific Northwest Ski Association, coach, community volunteer, held jobs in construction, and held other professional positions. And he created a campaign brochure, and website with goals in marketing and overall strategic business plan for POC. Some of his action items are: economic and educated workforce development, quality infrastructure (collaboration), transportation, tourism, fiber-optic network, stable environment and sustainability, and develop partnerships with surrounding areas for joint economic/business incentive packages, etc.

Paul Mahre is the most qualified candidate for POC Commissioner, District 3. For more information: https://www.votepaulmahre.com
