One dead, three injured, after single car crash near Spokane Valley

An early morning car crash Saturday left the driver of the vehicle dead and his three passengers severely injured.

Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to reports of a crash at 2:15 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of North Forker Road and East Forker Lane.

Spokane Valley and county firefighters extricated the occupants from the Ford F250 before providing medical care.

The adult male driver was pronounced dead on scene, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The other passengers, two women and one man, were seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital.

Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit Investigators said they believe impairment and speed were factors in the crash. Two out of the four people in the car were not wearing seatbelts.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, two passengers have been released from the hospital while one remains hospitalized but in stable condition.
