Ellen Travolta’s annual Christmas show is returning to Coeur d’Alene Resort

For the last eight years, Ellen Travolta and her crew of singers, performers and family members have brought Christmas spirit to Coeur d’Alene, and they’re not letting COVID-19 stop them in 2020.

“Saving Christmas” opens Nov. 27 and runs through Dec. 20 at the Coeur d’Alene Resort. Shows are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 5 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $30 and go on sale Monday at cdachristmas.com.

This year, Travolta and the Coeur d’Alene Resort invited community members to share stories of how they saved a past Christmas or plan to save it this year. Selected stories will be read by Travolta, Molly Allen and Abbey Crawford at every show.

“In such a gloomy year with so many drastic changes, we want to uplift our community and share stories of how people are finding ways to save Christmas or have in the past,” Travolta said in a news release.

Personally, reading the community’s submissions about their plans to save Christmas has been so inspiring, and I can’t wait to share them.”

The cast will sing accompanied by pianist Jennifer Twitchell and bassist Eugene Jablonsky.

COVID-19-related precautions include limited seating and reserving tickets. For more information,, visit cdaresort.com/resort/public_announcements.
