Just a few facts

In response to: “COVID over-reaction” and “Change we don’t need” (Oct. 18)

Reading Sunday’s letters to the editor, I was shocked and horrified by Errol Kramer’s statement “why ruin the economy and bankrupt the country for a few lives.” Tell that to the people who have lost someone to COVID. I’ll bet Mr. Kramer has not lost someone to the virus. As Trump, he has no empathy. It was an egregious statement.

Also, Nina Mills at 92 years old has lost sight of the need to verify her statements concerning opinions about the government. The economy is now suffering and job losses continue despite Trump’s lies. He talks of the number of jobs added recently, but leaves out the larger number of jobs lost in months before.

By the way, Trump had nothing to do with the abolition of the chokehold. As Sgt. Friday would say, “Just the facts ma’am.”
