Democrats and socialism

The embracing of socialism by the Democratic Party tells me two things. First, that the indoctrination of our young people is working. To that end it is necessary to lie about history. Socialism is a system of government that has enslaved and bankrupted any country that fully embraces its tenets. All systems of government have corruption, but with socialism the government is in control and the result has always been tyranny. (They lie about Scandinavia; look it up.)

Secondly, it tells me that many old-line Democrats who know that socialism would destroy our country are willing to remain silent in order to wrest power from those with whom they disagree. I honestly think that Democrats would gain votes, not lose votes if they would denounce and educate people about the dangers of socialism. Just listening to the vitriolic hatred of those who don’t step in line tells you the type of tyranny they seek to impose.

The party that once had men of integrity and whom I supported and voted for like Tom Foley and Hubert Humphrey is dead.
