MultiCare Deaconess Hospital has earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from the Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit that sets standards for excellence in patient care.

Leapfrog assigns an A, B, C, D or F grade to general hospitals in the United States based on 30 performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent harm.

“It is an honor for our team at Deaconess to earn this recognition,” said Greg Repetti, president of MultiCare Deaconess Hospital. “This recognition validates our standard of excellent patient care that we strive for every day with each patient.”

Providence Sacred Heart and Holy Family each earned a B grade from the organization, while MultiCare Valley Hospital received a C.
