Section of Centennial Trail to temporarily close

The Centennial Trail between Mirabeau Park and Islands Trailhead in Spokane Valley will be closed for a few weeks starting Monday.

A utility line that runs under the trail failed in that area, so emergency repair work is needed, according to the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission.

Repairs and repaving are expected to be completed by Nov. 9.
