Two teenagers and a Spokane man are accused of kidnapping and torturing a suspected burglar. Police believe Chaz P. Crow, 20; Jesse T.R. Bushnell, 19; and Jesse R. James, 17, kidnapped Russell Cole on two occasions in revenge for Cole stealing from Crow’s apartment, according to court documents filed this week.

Man sought in drug case

The former roommate of a man charged with robbing two pharmacies for OxyContin last fall is accused of selling the drug but hasn’t been located by police.

Task force joins hate crime probe

The Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations is offering up to $1,000 for tips leading to the solution of any of the hate crimes that have plagued the Inland Northwest since spring. The task force is working with Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest to collect tips and is asking other organizations and individuals to pledge money to the reward fund. That money would not be disbursed unless it led to the resolution of a hate crime, a task force news release said.
