A law enforcement officer sent to check on the welfare of three people living in a southwestern Idaho home instead found three bodies hidden on the property in an apparent homicide. Investigators haven’t yet identified the three people, and it’s not yet clear how they died.

Pistons’ Kentavious Caldwell-Pope gets probation in March traffic stop

Pistons guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has been sentenced to a year of probation in connection with a March traffic stop in suburban Detroit. The Detroit Free Press reports Caldwell-Pope learned his punishment Wednesday after pleading guilty to allowing a person to drive under the influence. A charge of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. He continued to play for the team last season and is a restricted free agent.

Man admits he ordered son to shoot him on Idaho road

An Oregon man convicted in a mortgage fraud scheme has pleaded guilty to additional federal charges after admitting he ordered his son to shoot him in the legs in an effort to collect on a disability insurance policy and delay his prison sentence.
