West Valley schools delayed after vehicle crashes into pole, knocking out power

An early morning vehicle crash in Spokane Valley damaged a power pole, knocking out power for more than 1,000 homes and closing almost a mile of North Argonne Road. Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the collision near East Wellesley Avenue just after 1:00 a.m. Tuesday morning and arrested the driver, who was uninjured, for driving under the influence.

Deputies respond to back-to-back DUI incidents on Bigelow Gulch Road

A man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Monday evening after crashing his pickup truck into a ditch along Bigelow Gulch Road. When the vehicle was removed and the road reopened, sheriff’s deputies learned of a second intoxicated driver who was unconscious in a car sitting 100 yards down the road.
