Ferris’ big fourth quarter turns close game into rout of LC

Jason Bates scored 17 points and Justin Stewart came off the bench to score 12 as Ferris beat Lewis and Clark 62-50 in a Greater Spokane League boys basketball game Monday at Ferris that had been rescheduled due to the extended football season. Lewis and Clark (2-2) held a 42-40 lead going into the fourth quarter, but the Saxons clamped down on defense and outscored the Tigers 22-8 in the final period.
