The Department of Health is proposing double-digit increases in licensing fees for the state’s physicians and a handful of other professions following an audit that showed some health care professions were illegally subsidizing the regulatory costs of others. The proposal is what regulators are calling the “first phase” of fee adjustments that could affect thousands of health care workers in the Inland Northwest.

MultiCare Health System names Mueller as new Rockwood Clinic president

MultiCare Health System has chosen Bryan Mueller as the new president of Rockwood Clinic. Mueller will start at Rockwood on Feb. 5. He’s currently the chief operating officer of Swedish Medical Group and chief executive of Swedish Mill Creek and Redmond Ambulatory Care Centers in the Puget Sound region.
