Spokane man dies in crash near Mead on Saturday night

The 31-year-old man, who was not identified in a news release, died after being taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center overnight Saturday after his SUV rolled into a creek northeast of Mead, the Washington State Patrol said.

The Washington State Patrol arrested a second intoxicated man who tried to bypass police cars and drive into the scene of an unrelated crash at Division Street and Magnesium Road Sunday night. Just before 7 p.m. Spokane police were investigating a two-car crash that sent one person to the hospital.

Man dies in rollover crash in Okanogan County

The Washington State Patrol said the man’s SUV “left the roadway to the right for an unknown reason, traveled approximately 75 yards and struck rocks” before reentering the roadway and rolling over twice.

Lewiston resident injured in crash on U.S. 195

A Lewiston resident was injured Tuesday afternoon in a crash on U.S. Highway 195 south of Rosalia, the Washington State Patrol reported. Kevin S. Acree, 48, was driving his Dodge pickup north on U.S. 195 about five miles south of Rosalia about 2:30 p.m. when a semitruck in front of him stopped to make a left turn. The pickup rear-ended the semitruck. Acree, who was wearing a seat belt, was injured and transported to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Woman accused of DUI after car hits pedestrian near Millwood

Gina M. Duer, 42, of Deer Park, was booked into the Spokane County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence. Dominick D. Pirtle, 28, of Spokane, was injured and taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center.
