Magic fire GM Rob Hennigan after missing playoffs for 5 years

The Orlando Magic have fired general manager Rob Hennigan after missing the playoffs for five straight seasons. Orlando finished this season 29-53. Hennigan was the youngest general manager at 30 in the NBA when he was hired by the Magic.

Magic President: Season has been ‘incredibly disappointing’

Magic president Alex Martins says it has been an “incredibly disappointing” season for Orlando. He did say he is pleased with Orlando’s young core of players and coach Frank Vogel. Martins didn’t mention 34-year-old general manager Rob Hennigan, but did say when asked about the GM that Hennigan’s future will be evaluated at the end of the season, along with the rest of the basketball operations staff.

U.S. official says Orlando shooter’s widow has been arrested

The wife of the Orlando nightclub shooter was arrested Monday by the FBI, a U.S. law enforcement official told the Associated Press. The official said Noor Salman was taken into custody Monday morning in the San Francisco area and is due in court Tuesday in California. She’s facing charges in Florida including obstruction of justice.

Massive manhunt underway as Orlando mourns deaths of 2 law enforcement officers

ORLANDO, Fla. – Law enforcement officers in Orlando were engaged in a massive manhunt early Tuesday for a man accused of fatally shooting a police officer who approached him outside a Wal-Mart. The manhunt itself has led to the death of a sheriff’s deputy in a traffic accident and the injury of another officer.
