Obama signs law to OK Walla Walla VA renovation

President Barack Obama has signed a law authorizing the Department of Veterans Affairs to build a new outpatient clinic at the Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center in Walla Walla, Wash.

Explosives stolen from Walla Walla airport

WALLA WALLA – Federal, state and local police are seeking leads in the theft of a large amount of explosives. The explosives, which include TNT, blasting cap boosters and black powder, were found missing Monday from an explosives storage magazine at the Walla Walla Regional Airport industrial park. The theft was discovered by Washington State Patrol troopers during a routine inspection.

Walla Walla knows wine

You know you’re close to Walla Walla when the brown scablands are interrupted by fuzzy-looking green patches on the hillsides. Those dark green patches are vineyards.
