Two years away from free agency, Adam Thielen was among the best bargains in the NFL. With a tight salary cap situation, the Minnesota Vikings could have waited to reward their two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver with a new contract. Vikings, Adam Thielen agree to 4-year, $64M extension

The Minnesota Vikings and wide receiver Adam Thielen have agreed in principle to a four-year contract extension valued at $64 million. Thielen’s agency, The Institute for Athletes, announced the terms in an Instagram post. Thielen has two years left on the deal he signed in 2017, which easily made him one of the best bargains in the NFL after averaging 102 catches and 1,325 yards over the past two seasons. He was picked for the Pro Bowl both years.
