Secret Witness is offering a reward for information about an unsolved hit-and-run death. On Oct. 1, 1983, a car ran down Shannon Johnson, 21, while he was riding a bicycle north on Sullivan Road near 21st Avenue. The car didn't stop. Johnson lay beside the road for 20 minutes before he was spotted. He was taken to a hospital with severe head injuries and died the following day.

A 13-year-old boy was killed and another seriously injured when the motorcycle they were illegally riding collided with a dump truck. Authorities said Chase Baird of Idaho Falls was riding behind Travis Archibald when Archibald reportedly ran the stop sign at a county intersection west of Idaho Falls on Thursday and slammed into the truck. The boys were riding an unregistered dirt bike with friends on two other motorcycles, officials said. Police said Baird was dead at the scene. Although both boys were wearing helmets, sheriff's deputies said the force of the collision knocked both of the youths' helmets off.
