Police identify worker who died at CdA construction site

A Post Falls man died Tuesday when he fell while measuring for rain gutters on the roof of an apartment building that was under construction. Larry G. Jones, 67, was working in Coeur d'Alene as a sub-contractor for Copper Basin Construction.

Long-stalled CdA development’s startup a good sign

This may be one of the clearest signs yet the housing market is recovering in the Inland Northwest: A patch of Coeur d’Alene hillside poised for new homes for eight years is finally under construction. Streets, sidewalks and utilities were put in back in 2005, but the 75-lot subdivision has sat unfinished. And that didn’t go unnoticed, given the property faces Interstate 90 just west of the Northwest Boulevard-Ramsey Road exit.

Liberty Lake Legacy

Copper Basin Construction expects to wrap up the final stage of work on its Parkside at Legacy Ridge, the third phase of a large residential development hatched several years ago by developer Marshall Chesrown. The Hayden, Idaho, construction firm took over phase three of the Legacy Ridge project after AmericanWest Bank foreclosed on Chesrown’s note in 2009. Copper Basin bought the properties from AmericanWest.
