Science Says: How daylight saving time affects health

As the seasonal end of daylight saving time approaches, many sleep scientists and circadian biologists say it should be banned for good because of potential ill effects on human health. In the U.S., clocks go back an hour this weekend. But research says the springtime start of daylight saving time may be more harmful. It has been linked with more car accidents, heart attacks and other health problems that may persist throughout the time change.
