STA board approves trolley line extension

Planning for an electric trolley bus line through downtown Spokane jumped several steps last week with a decision to extend the proposed line to Spokane Community College. The Spokane Transit Authority board of directors voted unanimously for the extension on Thursday.

Getting There: To STA, city, transit future looks electric

The public will get another look at a proposal to build an electric streetcar or trolley line through downtown Spokane. An open house is planned on March 29 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Chase Gallery in the lower level of City Hall.
