CV girls roll at Mooberry Relays; NC boys foursome honored

Appropriately, a team that bases its success on depth, won going away Saturday at the 52nd annual Mooberry Relays at Rogers High School. The Central Valley girls, behind wins in the distance medley, the 4x800 relay and the 1,600 relay, piled up 120 points, winning by 31 points over runner-up Mead.

And that’s one of the reasons Shadle Park’s Nathan Weitz and North Central’s Katie Knight were smiling after they shattered records in the Lindgren Mile, named after former Rogers star Gary Lindgren, at the sun-kissed Mooberry Relays Saturday at Whitworth University.
