Thunder All-Stars Paul George and Russell Westbrook each underwent surgery. George had surgery for a partially torn tendon in his right shoulder. Westbrook had two procedures. One was for a torn ligament in a finger on his left hand. The other was an elective arthroscopic procedure on his right knee.

Lakers fined $500K by NBA for tampering involving Paul George

New Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka’s contact with Paul George’s agent violated the NBA’s anti-tampering rule and has resulted in Los Angeles being fined $500,000. The league says that a law firm’s independent investigation didn’t find evidence of an agreement or an understanding that the Lakers would sign or acquire George, who was with the Indiana Pacers at the time. George was later traded to Oklahoma City.
