EWU spring game: QBs continue to progress

No matter the situation – and there were plenty – the Eastern Washington quarterbacks made the most of them Saturday afternoon at Roos Field. And when the annual Red-White Spring Game was over, all three fancied their chances of getting into some meaningful situations this fall.

Holmberg gets hat trick, but younger Chiefs impress at Red-White game

Camp is for kids. So the critical eyes at the Spokane Chiefs’ annual August hockey orientation were being trained on the 14-year-old draft picks, new European imports and prospects hoping to make an impression – and a spot for themselves on this year’s roster.

Camp is for kids. So the critical eyes at the Spokane Chiefs’ annual August hockey orientation were being trained on the 14-year-old draft picks, new European imports and prospects hoping to make an impression – and a spot for themselves on this year’s roster. Spokane Chiefs Red-White Game

The Spokane Chiefs conclude a 3-day training camp with their annual Red=White Game, Aug. 25, in the Spokane Arena. The Chiefs open the regular season at Tri-City on Sept. 21. One week later the home opener will bring the same Tri-City Americans to the Spokane Arena on Sept. 28.

Defense carries the day at EWU’s Red-White game

All things considered, it’s been a pretty good month for Ronnie Hamlin. The Eastern Washington linebacker is three weeks removed from a broken hand, which healed just in time for Hamlin and the rest of his defensive cast to put a hurt on the offense at the Red-White Game on Saturday.

EWU concludes spring football with Red-White Game

A game it will be. Eastern Washington University head coach Beau Baldwin confirmed as much Thursday morning, saying he and his staff were able to round up enough healthy bodies to assemble two teams for today’s annual Red-White Game that traditionally marks the end of spring practice.
