Stocks drift amid investors’ tug of war between hope, fear

U.S. stocks were drifting in mixed trading on Thursday, as Wall Street’s tug of war continues between worries about the worsening pandemic in the present and optimism that a vaccine will rescue the economy in the future.

Friends of Columbia Gorge hold annual photo contest

Friends of the Columbia Gorge – a Portland-based conservation organization dedicated to protecting the scenic, natural, cultural, and recreational resources of the Columbia Gorge – is now accepting submissions for its sixth annual photo contest. The 2020 contest is entitled Picturing Protection.
