Trump: Service members make Super Bowl Sunday possible

President Donald Trump expressed appreciation for U.S. service members on Super Bowl Sunday, saying their bravery and sacrifice help make occasions like the year’s most-watched football game possible and renewing his criticism of NFL players who kneel during the national anthem.

Photo of fallen service members is one for the history books

More than a dozen years ago, Tami Silicio, a native of Edmonds, took a photo of the tunnel-like interior of a cargo plane that held more than 20 flag-draped coffins of U.S. service members killed in Iraq and soon to be flown home. This month, the 2004 picture is included in a Time anthology book, “100 Photographs: The Most Influential Images of All Time.”

Test system integrates VA records with INHS

Spokane-based Inland Northwest Health Services will launch a test project with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Fairchild Air Force Base to simplify the sharing of medical information across private and federal systems. INHS and representatives of the VA and Fairchild announced the project during a Wednesday press conference in downtown Spokane.
