Area roundup: Team Washington finishes seventh in freestyle wrestling at Cadet National Duals

After finishing second in the country Thursday in the Greco-Roman portion of the Cadet National Duals, Spokane-loaded Team Washington placed seventh in freestyle Saturday. The USA Wrestling event at the Spokane Convention Center concluded after Team Washington eased past Missouri, 60-19, in the seventh-place match. Comprised of the top 16-and-under wrestlers from around the state, Team Washington beat Illinois but dropped its next two duals to Oklahoma and eventual national champion Pennsylvania.
