What happened: Ryker Reed scored 18 points, Logan Brown added 17 and the twelfth-seeded Nighthawks (14-6) beat the visiting thirteenth-seeded Lions (14-5) in the 1B state opening round at Central Valley High School on Friday. Makai Resseau led Sound Christian with 15 points.
