Time to cool off

The Spokesman-Review

On Tuesday’s editorial page (Letters, Dec. 23), Mr. Blowers recounts his difficulty in getting to stores and drugstores. He closes with “Give it up, Spokane Valley. Let’s look to Spokane County for our services.”

I dislike upsetting Mr. Blowers, but just who does he think has been plowing (or not, in this case) our streets? It has been Spokane County who recently reported in our Spokesman-Review that they were not going to renew the contract effective next fall (2009).

Step outside, cool off, Mr. Blowers, the falling snow should help reduce your temperature, however, I do not believe relying on Spokane County to plow our streets will reduce your temper.
