Save us from fiscal responsibility

The Spokesman-Review

May the politicians who are working so diligently baste in my undying gratitude. Seriously, may we remain in awe of their unrelenting stupidity that is financially enslaving me to foreign nations faster than I can say “stimulus package.”

My fiscal responsibility seems to no longer be a virtue, as it is decimated by an unlimited supply of money the government conveniently has at its disposal. I can now look forward to paying for the continued benefit of society, so please, politicians, take more money away from my future family, since other people will liberally spend my money better than my fiscally conservative agenda ever could. In fact, these people shouldn’t even worry about money, because health care will soon be absolutely free; why didn’t we snap our fingers and make it happen before?

I, as well as millions of others, owe a debt of gratitude to those who do not consider the repercussions of their decisions. That’s OK, though, just blame it on someone else. Even better, just blame it on me. I am, after all, condoning blasphemous behavior when I suggest personal and fiscal responsibility.
