Hart’s success a mystery

I see where Idaho state Rep. Phil Hart, R-Athol, objects to the way our federal government interprets the 16th Amendment to collect taxes and says Idaho’s tax is unconstitutional. We all do, Rep. Hart, but we all have to pay.

Now there is no reason in my mind that you should still be in office. You have not paid taxes for years. It seems really odd to me that you contribute nothing to the pot, but you’re traveling around the country on the taxpayers’ money. You’re in Boise voting on and trying to pass legislation, probably for your own interest. This shows a lot about your character and how intelligent the average American voter is.

How could this person be voted back into office even if the only one on the ballot? We live in a land where government should be the main business of every mature man and woman. Government can only do well if each of us voted with intelligence. “Government is like a big baby: An alimentary canal, with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other.” Ronald Reagan.

God bless America. Don’t forget to vote.
