Take time to get it right
Concerning health care reform, why aren’t the people who are forcing the new health care system on our citizenry willing to make it THEIR health care program? And why is hurrying to an artificial deadline for health care reform more important than making sure every element of that health care legislation is as good as it can possibly be? It seems our legislators are so determined to make sure no one has an unfair advantage or superior quality of care over someone else that they’re willing to accept less for everyone – except themselves.
We can still do this right; we can still do this well.
It hasn’t been and won’t be easy. It will, however, be worth it and much more gratifying in the end than putting a “victory” sign on a costly, hurried health care bill whose biggest “success” is making sure everyone suffers the same as everyone else.
