What’s it going to take? Hopefully not a tragedy. On Dec. 31 and late last spring, vehicles have gone off the bluff (embankment) near the intersection of 29th Avenue and High Drive. Luckily, no deaths, but injuries have occurred in both accidents.

I have lived on the South Hill since 1950 and often use the High Drive arterial. My concern and wonder has always been: Why no curbing and guard rails along the entire length of that route?

Aesthetics and dollars in no way equate to the potential loss of life. The city of Spokane needs to aggressively find a solution to this hazardous situation.
