Performance was unsettling

I am worried that the letters to the editor endorsing a return of John Ahern to our state Legislature may influence someone to vote for him who has never seen this man talk, or has read any of his homophobic, crude or sexist remarks.

I sat in at a local nursing home public relations meeting several years ago for John Ahern. He could not stay focused at all. Brad Benson, sitting beside him, answered all the questions for him while John tapped his fingers, looked around the room, fiddled with his papers, totally distracted and uninterested in the proceedings.

We need intelligent, thoughtful, respectful legislators who can think on their own.
