It comes as no surprise that politicians, in their infinite wisdom, and even at the city level, would create an organization that gives themselves the power to levy fees without a vote of the taxpayers.

How about we carry this one step further and require a license fee for bicycles and pedestrians so that we can have bicycle lanes and great sidewalks for pedestrians? This way people who don’t drive cars but still use the sidewalks and streets can help share in the absurdity.

Cyclists could have a license plate mounted on the front of their bikes and pedestrians could have one mounted to a lower region of the body that faces the opposite direction of travel.
